Shanti Bhushan Roy is a leading and well known Indian Cinematographer & Filmmaker. In a career spanning more than a decade, Shanti has worked extensively as a Cinematographer in a diverse range of media – from Film to Television, Documentaries, Web and Digital Cinema. His work exemplifies passion for his craft and a great understanding of the various technological developments in Film & Media. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India, Pune – a pioneer Center of Excellence.

Shanti has worked with International & National Television channels –  like BBC, Discovery, NHK, NGC, STAR, Sony & also with well-known Indian Actors & Bollywood Celebrities like Aamir Khan, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Mahie Gill, Papon, Guru Randhawa etc.

His film credits include the award winning Oscar acclaimed ‘Ballad of Rustom’ and several inspiring Documentaries, Short films, Company Promos, Music Videos and TVCs for multinational brands and companies like Tata, Lever, Roche, Intel, etc.

He stands amongst a select group of Indian Filmmakers and Cinematographers who have adopted ever evolving digital Technology of Virtual Reality, 3D-360, & Augmented Reality for filmmaking and communication.

A former software engineer and a Graduate in Science – Shanti Bhushan Roy has a passion for Filmmaking, which encouraged him to turn into a Motion Picture Consultant & Producer. With a vast on-field experience & desire to engage and inspire young minds, has led Shanti Bhushan Roy to be an Educator. Apart from being Juror and Panelist, he has been teaching and mentoring students at various Government and Private Institutions.

Mr. Shanti Bhushan Roy is an avid reader with an appetite for philosophy, psychology, and spirituality. At times, he pens down his “Heart Scribbles” in the form of Poetry, Prose and Articles – whenever he is inspired. He is a technology enthusiast, avid meditator and a Reiki Master.
